Holly Fontaine never spoke a word. Though she had plenty to say, she lacked the nerve. If life felt too heavy, she would head to the sea and talk to the fishes instead of you or me. “Holly Mackerel, Holly Mackerel,” they would tease and shout. But when she opened her mouth, not a sound came out. So she went back to the ocean after each school day to talk to the fishes because… those kids are stupid anyway.
